A most devastating story narrated by the perfect voice for the part. It was extremely hard to listen to, especially the scenes depicting the abuse and blunt gaslighting and manipulation, but I just couldnt stop listening. I loved how real Vanessa felt even as a teenager and how the story approached all the different questions surrounding grooming and SA, outlining the complexity and greyness assigned to these topics. I also liked that the author talked about how it feels to be a victim of abise in a world that wants to sensationalise tour story or blames you if you refuse to speak about you trauma. A difficult, but very well written and nareated book.
