Henry James (1843–1916) was an American writer, highly regarded as one of the key proponents of literary realism, as well as for his contributions to literary criticism. His writing centres on the clash and overlap between Europe and America, and The Portrait of a Lady is regarded as his most notable work.

Tom Baker was born in Liverpool in 1934. He became an actor and is most well-known, in seventy-four countries, for his portrayal of Doctor Who.

Bram Stoker
Abraham „Bram“ Stoker (1847–1912) a fost un scriitor și dramaturg irlandez, cunoscut în special ca autor al romanului gotic „Dracula” (1897). S-a născut în Dublin, a studiat la Trinity College, unde a devenit interesat de teatru. A scris cronici pentru Dublin Evening Mail. După ce s-a căsătorit, s-a mutat la Londra şi a devenit managerul Lyceum Theatre şi asistentul personal al actorului Sir Henry Irving. A colaborat cu The Daily Telegraph şi a început să scrie ficţiune horror – romanele The Snake’s Pass (1890), The Lady of the Shroud (1909), The Lair of the White Worm (1911), dar şi proză scurtă. A legat prietenii cu scriitorii Arthur Conan Doyle, William Butler Yeats sau Sir Hall Caine, şi a fost profund influenţat de poetul american Walt Whitman. A decedat la Londra în 1912
