Tracy Chevalier
Tracy Chevalier s-a născut în 1962 şi a copilărit în Washington. A părăsit Statele Unite în 1984, stabilindu-se în Regatul Unit. După ce a lucrat câţiva ani ca redactor, a obţinut un masterat în literatură la University of East Anglia. A debutat în 1997 cu romanul „Albastru pur”, ce s-a bucurat imediat de un succes răsunător. Doi ani mai tîrziu a apărut „Fata cu cercel de perlă”, considerat de Publishers Weekly „fenomen editorial”, atingând în scurt timp cifra-record de un milion de exemplare. În anul 2001 a publicat un al treilea roman, „Îngeri căzători”, frescă a Angliei eduardiene, aflat luni de zile pe lista de bestselleruri din Anglia şi SUA.
