Okay. So this was a letdown. I loved the main story - Paige and Preacher, which means that the first half of the book was really good. But the structure of the book was so weird. After the main conflict was resolved, the author threw at us all these other point of views... from MelJack, Mike and his accident, Rick and Lizzie and their "situation"... and that last story arc was so damn painful to read - I just couldnt do it, had to skip a few pages. And then we got even more povs. Brie and Brady, and who knows who else cause I might have forgotten. It was all too much and so very confusing. And the most disappointing thing of all is that I can't make myself continue this series. The next book for Brie and Mike starts with us finding out that Brie was beaten and raped. To top that off, there is an additional storyline in the book with some mysterious date-rapist who attacks young girls. Like, really? double rapey, no thanks. Too bad. Nice series so far but it went too dark for my tastes.
